Your D-Link Router that provides internet service has a new important software update. Please follow the instruction below to install the software and improve your router’s performance and security.
In order to process the upgrade you need to connect to your D-Link High Speed Router. From your computer, smartphone or tablet follow the steps outlined below.
Note: It is highly recommended to frequently check if there are any new firmware versions available.
Enter the following address in the browser (http://192.168.0.1)
Note: The default Username is (admin) and Password is left blank and can be changed after you login the 1st time.
Go to System and select Firmware Upgrade
Under the Upgrade Firmware by FOTA section, click Start when it shows FOTA Agent is Ready
The router will check for newest firmware available.
The window will pop up informing you a new version is available. For this example, version V01.02.3.019 is the latest version. Press OK on the pop up window to continue.
The upgrade process will start automatically and may take up to 5 minutes to complete.
Important: Do not power off your computer or router, and do not refresh or close the browser window.
Once the firmware upgrade process completes, you will be prompted to assign a login password for your router. Enter the login password you would like to assign to your router (must be 6-16 characters), click Apply to save your settings and OK to continue.
Note: If you have already set a login password on your router please continue to the next step to verify the router has successfully loaded the latest version.
Log back into your router and go to System and select Firmware Upgrade to verify that the Current Firmware Version (steps 1 - 4). For this example, version v01.02.3.019 is the latest version.
