    UNDERSTANDING YOUR BILL

    With our digital billing summary, we help break down the charges on your bill.

    Log in to My Account to view your digital bill. Or view a paper bill version.

    This section highlights the amount you owe for the current bill. This includes current charges and past due charges, if applicable.

    These are recurring and one-time charges/fees for your most recent bill, including service, installment and protection plans, taxes, etc., plus any prorated charges. The “Other” section includes promotional credits, Auto Pay/Paperless Billing discounts and fees like Regulatory Cost Recovery and Administrative fees.

    Understanding Charges On Your Bill

    • Your bill could be higher or lower if you add or change services in the middle of a billing cycle. In this event, a prorated, or partial, charge can appear on your bill.
    • There are a few consistent charges on your account that we can break down:
      • Total Amount Due:
        • This section highlights the total balance for the account, or what you owe. This includes current charges and past due charges, if applicable.
      • Current Charges:
        • This is the total of your recurring and one-time charges for your most recent billing cycle. Monthly service charges can include the price for your service plan, installment plan and Device Protection+ plan. Changes made during your last billing cycle may result in prorated charges and/or fees.
      • Previous Balance:
        • This refers to the Total Amount Due still owed on your last bill. Payments Received shows any payments made between your previous and current billing cycle.
      • Credits and Adjustments:
        • This includes any credits or billing adjustments made between your last and current bills. These could be related to a promotion starting or ending, or a trade-in value being applied.
        • Credits like the AutoPay/Paperless Billing discount will also appear in this section.
      • Promotional credits are included in the Credits and Adjustments section of your bill. These can take up to 60 days (or two billing cycles) after activation to show up on your account.
      Note: Making any changes to your account may impact your promotional credit eligibility.
    • We make it easy to keep track of your device installment balance. To see how much is left on yours, simply log in to My Account.
    • Late payment charges occur if a previous month's bill was not paid in full. In this event, a late-payment charge is added to the total amount due on your next bill.
    • We list your retail purchases on your bill to help you keep track of everything related to your account. You'll see the products charged as well as the payment you made in store.
    • UScellular® charges its customers a Regulatory Cost Recovery Fee to defray the costs of regulatory compliance and this fee may change from time to time. The fee includes, but is not limited to, number pooling, local number portability, wireless local number portability, E-911, CPNI, Federal Telecommunications Relay Services, Federal Regulatory Fees, tower mandate costs and reductions in available Universal Service Funding which had been used to offset some of the costs of operating networks in the UScellular Eligible Telecommunication territories. UScellular is not required by law to charge this fee. The Regulatory Cost Recovery Fee may also include costs incurred in prior years that have not been fully recovered.
    • UScellular also charges an Administrative Fee that is intended to recover some of the expenses it must pay to others in order to provide service to you. UScellular is not required by law to charge this fee. These expenses include:
      • Taxes assessed on facilities used to provide wireless service.
      • Property taxes imposed on cell site locations.
      • Rent or similar expenses associated with cell site locations and other physical facilities housing equipment used within our network.
      • Utility expenses incurred to operate the network.
      • Costs paid to other telecommunication companies for the transport and termination of calls and data sessions.
    • Current unlimited plans charge a monthly service fee for unlimited minutes, messages, and data. If not on our unlimited plan, your plan will factor in allocated plan minutes, messages, and/or data in addition to your monthly service fee. Additional charges you may incur:
      • Using international roaming or other optional features, or making international calls.
      • A late-payment charge is applied to your bill when the previous month's bill has not been paid in full, leaving a previous amount due carried forward. The late-payment charge is included in the total amount due on the current bill.
      • A one-time device activation charge.
      • Normal taxes will apply for your wireless service based on the address on the account, just as they would for your existing other utilities such as electricity.
      • A federal Universal Service Fund fee is included with each UScellular line. Started in 1988, all carriers, including UScellular, were required to contribute to this fund, which was created to ensure quality, affordable service for all consumers, especially those in rural areas, as well as schools, libraries, and hospitals.
      • A state Universal Service Fund surcharge is included in some states. This surcharge helps subsidize specialized telecommunications programs and provides discounts to low-income families.
      • While we’ll never charge you for 911 calls, your state may require us to charge a state-variant fee to help fund access to emergency services in your area.

    Paying Your Bill Online

    • We make paying your bill easy. You can:
      • Log in to My Account
      • Quick Pay with no login or PIN required
      See our Payment Methods page to see all options.
    • In My Account you can opt to be notified through an email or text message. You can also arrange to be notified each time your account is accessed, when a payment has been received, and when the bill is more than the maximum dollar amount you authorized to be deducted from your account when on Auto Pay.
    • Yes, login to My Account and select Set Up Auto Pay, either from the dashboard or under Bills & Payments, and you’ll be able to select checking account or credit card payment methods.
    • To qualify for the Auto Pay discount, account must be current and customers must be enrolled through My Account for both Paperless Billing and Auto Pay using a checking account or debit card.
    • To sign up for Paperless Billing, log in to My Account. Then, on the Bills & Payments menu choose Paperless Billing. You can see up to 16 months of your previous statements.
    • Credit card, debit card, and cash payments will be processed immediately and posted to your account real time. Check payments will be posted to your UScellular account immediately and processing time varies by bank. Scheduled payments through My Account will be posted by midnight on the day the payment was scheduled and sent for processing.
    • Changing your billing address is easy. You can connect with us through our chat option or contact us and we'll help get your billing address changed.
    • We’re with you through all of life’s big moments. To ensure uninterrupted service, please call one of our representatives at 611. We’ll check to make sure service is available in your new area. If so, we'll happily update your account for you. If UScellular service isn’t offered in your new location, we'll explain your options. You can also view our Coverage Maps to see if service is offered where you’re moving.

    Prepaid Billing

    • We have many ways you can refill your prepaid account. Quick Refill lets you submit a one-time payment without logging in. Or visit our  prepaid refill page for more options, like setting up Auto Pay.
    • Depending on your plan, a one-time activation fee may apply. Additional fees, taxes, and terms apply and vary by service and equipment.

    How to View Your UScellular Bill Online - Transcript

    Hello everyone, It's Jacqui from UScellular.
    Today, I will show you how to view your bill on your account.
    Once you login to your account, you will see your dashboard.
    Click "Billing Summary". Your Billing Summary screen shows your current bill information. Click the down arrows on each section for additional information of your bill.
    If you would like to view the detailed copy of your bill, click "View Bill" for a PDF version of your current bill. Don't forget to turn your pop-up blockers off!
    Did you know you can also view up to 16 months of previous bill statements?
    Click “Statement History” and choose a month.
    To view the PDF version of the Bill for the selected month, click "View Bill".
    For fast, secure access to your bill and all your account information, download the UScellular My Account app from the App Store or Google Play.

    Account Total and Quick Breakdown

    Total Amount Due:

    This section highlights the total balance for the account. This includes current charges and past due charges, if applicable.

    Current Charges:

    This is the total of your charges for your most recent billing cycle. Monthly service charges can include the price for your service plan, installment plan and Device Protection+. Changes made during your last billing cycle may result in prorated charges and/or fees. Usage charges can include prices for domestic or international roaming and data overages.

    Prior Month Activity:

    This is the remaining amount owed for the previous billing cycle(s). Previous Balance refers to the Total Amount Due still owed on your last bill. Payments Received shows any payments made between your previous and current billing cycle. Credits and Adjustments to Previous Balance includes any credits or billing adjustments we made between your last and current bills.

    Data Usage graphs will appear (up to 10 lines or 3 Shared Connect plans) for each bucket on the account. Each graph is labeled with the corresponding specific phone number (MDN) data allotment and plan name for easy reference

    Bill Date:

    This is the date that your bill is generated. Please note that any account changes on or after this date will not be reflected until your next bill.

    Trend of Monthly Charges:

    The graph compares your Current Charge balance with those of your last two bills. This allows you to quickly check for any changes in your bill from one month to the next.

    If you wish to mail in a payment, please detach this section, fill in the amount being paid, and mail to the address indicated. You may also go to My Account or download the My Account app to sign up for paperless billing and Auto Pay at any time.

    Previous Balance:

    Includes items purchased when signing up for service.

    Past Due Balance:

    What you owe from previous bills that haven't yet been paid, including late charges.

    Price Plan Recurring Charges:

    For Total Plans, this reflects the base 2GB plan rate for all lines.

    Other Recurring Charges:

    For Total Plans, this reflects incremental charges for additional data over the base plan pricing of 2GB. May include retail installment charges, other device purchases and Device Protection+. Total Plans do no incur any Roaming Charges or Data Charges.

    Other Charges and Credits:

    Your discount for Autopay/Paperless Billing and any promotional pricing.

    Remittance Form:

    This tear-off slip ensures your account is properly credited. Simply return it with your payment in the provided envelope by due date noted.

    Change of Address:

    On the reverse side of the remittance form, you can notify us of a change in your mailing address. Please allow two billing cycles for the change to take effect.

    There will be a section for each line of service summarizing the monthly charges (including proration when services have been added or changed), installments, usage, overage charges, taxes and other charges or credits (these include one-time charges for device, accessory, Accessory Installment Payments and App purchases, labor and shipping charges).

    Details of Usage:

    If you have detailed billing, your bill may include sections that outline the calls (voice), texts and picture/video messaging usage for each line of service. Each call or message made or received is detailed by date, time, direction, type, to/from number and charge.
