Firmware Upgrade

New Firmware Version -
Release Date: August 23, 2021

Your D-Link Home & Business Phone has an important firmware update available. This firmware update contains several fixes, including: Caller-ID/Call Waiting fixes, Message Waiting Indicator fixes, SMS management enhancements and enhanced digital tone generation capabilities when interfacing with a remote device. Please follow the instruction below to install the firmware update.

NOTE 1: It is highly recommended that you frequently check if there are any new firmware versions available.

NOTE 2: To install the upgrade, you need to connect your computer to your D-Link Home & Business Phone and log in via the Graphical User Interface (GUI). From your computer, please follow the steps outlined below.

  1. On your computer, please launch your web browser
  2. Once open, please enter the following address in the browser - You will see the following window appear.

  3. In the User Name field, please type in “admin” and click Sign in, there is no password required for this device unless you set one during or after initial installation.

  4. Click on System tab located on the top of next screen.

  5. Click on FW Upgrade section.

  6. On the pull-down menu, in Upgrade My Home & Business Phone, select Remote Server. Click Check Remote Server button.

  7. The device will begin to check for newest firmware available and will begin to download the firmware.

  8. The upgrade process will start automatically and may take up to 5 minutes to complete.

    Important: Do not power off your computer or Home & Business Phone during the upgrade, and do not refresh or close the browser window.

Post Update

  • Once the firmware upgrade process has completed, log back into your device to verify that the Current Firmware Version was applied (using steps 1–5, above). The Current Version should now show

  • Congratulations. Your device has now been updated. You may close the GUI and disconnect your computer from the device.
  • It is always a good idea to do a sanity check after a firmware upgrade. Try making a call, and try calling the device from another phone, if available. If both are successful, you should be good to go.
