CHICAGO (Jan. 11, 2021) – UScellular announces a new Area Vice President/General Manager (AVP/GM) role in each of its six regions. These individuals will be responsible for leading sales and operations for both corporate-owned and agent retail locations.
The new role of AVP/GM allows UScellular to tailor its support and offerings to the needs of individual communities while managing its overall business, driving an exceptional customer experience and moving faster in a competitive wireless industry.
“The leaders in the AVP/GM role have extensive experience leading teams and driving customer growth in the fast-paced wireless industry and will help us move faster and more effectively compete in our markets,” said Eric Jagher, senior vice president, retail sales and operations at UScellular. “This change will help streamline our local management team to ensure we continue providing an unmatched wireless experience for our customers.”

Mike Adams, AVP/GM (Iowa and Nebraska)
Adams has over 20 years of wireless sales experience and joined UScellular in 2001 as an assistant store manager. Since then, he has held roles of increasing responsibility, including store manager, retail area sales manager, direct sales manager, business director of sales, and was most recently director of sales for the corporate-owned channel in Iowa and Nebraska.
Adams has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bellevue University in Bellevue, Neb. He lives in the Des Moines area with his wife and two children.
Tom Catani, AVP/GM (Mid-Atlantic – Maryland, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia)
Catani joined UScellular in 1997 and has held multiple positions in sales and customer service, and most recently served as vice president of sales for the agent channel. In that position, he enabled business results for UScellular within its indirect sales channel and ensured associates had the proper support to help customers make informed decisions about their wireless service. Prior to joining UScellular, Catani served for 15 years with AT&T and Lucent Technologies. He has a master’s degree in business administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, and a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Illinois in Champaign. He resides in Knoxville, Tennessee with his wife and family.
Eric Conlon, AVP/GM (Wisconsin and Illinois)
Conlon joined UScellular in 2002 as a retail wireless consultant. Since then, he has held roles of increasing responsibility, including sales manager, store manager, area sales manager, director of sales (corporate and agent channels), and most recently served as senior director of sales for the corporate-owned channel. Conlon has a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Kaplan University. He resides in Cedar Rapids, Iowa with his family.
Tabatha McKay, AVP/GM (New England – Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont)
McKay joined UScellular in 2002 as a retail wireless consultant and has held roles of increasing responsibility, including learning and development instructor, regional training manager, regional talent acquisition manager, associate relations manager, and most recently served as a human resource director of business partners and employee relations supporting the corporate-owned channel. Prior to joining UScellular, she was a 3rd grade teacher in Maine. McKay has a master’s degree in business leadership from William Penn University in Oskaloosa, Iowa and a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Maine of Orono. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree of jurisprudence in labor and employment law at Tulane University in New Orleans. She and her husband currently reside in the Des Moines, Iowa area and they will be relocating back to the Ellsworth, Maine area.
Sarah Pearson AVP/GM (Northwest – California, Oregon and Washington)
Pearson joined UScellular in 2000 as a retail wireless consultant. Since then, she has held roles of increasing responsibility, including sales manager, store manager, area sales manager. She was most recently director of sales for the business channel in the Northwest. Pearson has a bachelor’s degree in communication and business from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. She and her husband reside in Medford, Oregon.
Travis Toliver, AVP/GM (Southwest – Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas)
Toliver has 17 years of wireless sales leadership experience and comes to UScellular from Comcast, where he held several leadership roles, most recently serving as director of retail sales for the Houston, Texas region. He previously held leadership roles at Verizon Wireless as a district manager and senior manager for corporate and agent channels. Additionally, at Verizon Wireless he held other positions responsible for business development, vendor management, strategic planning, device marketing, prepaid operations and national distribution. Toliver has a bachelor’s degree in marketing and sales from Colorado Christian University in Lakewood, Colorado. He resides in Houston, Texas with his wife and daughter, and they will be relocating to Oklahoma City.
