The BREW™ easyedgeSM catalog will no longer be available as of April 30, 2015.

If you currently use any of these applications, please read below, review the FAQs or visit your local U.S. Cellular store for more information.* If you don't use apps on your phone, you don't need to do anything. Please continue to use your phone as usual.

 
My Contacts Backup

My Contacts Backup

Please know that My Contacts Backup will be discontinued on 4/30/2015. The contacts saved in your phone will still be available, of course, but they will no longer be automatically backed up.

As such, we recommend that you either print and/or export your contacts to your computer before this happens.To do so, log in to the My Contacts Backup website. After logging in to your account, please select "Print Contacts" and/or "Export" from the menu on the left side. Since your contacts will no longer be available through My Contacts Backup after 4/30/15, we encourage you to save them as soon as possible.

If this application was preloaded on your device, you will see the icon shown here on your home screen. When preloaded, this application will continue to work as normal. Also, if you have a monthly subscription to Tone Room Deluxe, you will continue to be billed. If you delete the application, you will not be able to get it back. If you do not have this application preloaded or have deleted it from your device, you will no longer be able to use this application. Any ringtones that you have previously downloaded should continue to work. If you decide to upgrade to a smartphone, have a free month of Tone Room Deluxe on us.   1. Does this change impact me?
  2. The easyedge catalog end-of-life will impact all devices with this icon ( easyedge icon ) on the device. If you have never utilized an application from within this catalog, this change will not impact your current experience.

  3. Why will U.S. Cellular be discontinuing the easyedge catalog?
  4. Due to the ongoing advancement in wireless technology, many customers who utilize applications have migrated to devices with larger screens, faster data speeds and more available content. Many application developers have shifted their focus away from devices with smaller screens. Customers who wish to have access to applications should migrate to a Smartphone. Visit your local store for more details.

  5. Will I still be charged for subscriptions to easyedge applications?
  6. As of April 1st, you should no longer be billed for easyedge applications. One exception is Tone Room Deluxe. If you have a monthly subscription to Tone Room Deluxe, your billing will continue, as your user experience will not change.

  7. Why do I still see easyedge on my bill if easyedge is going away?
  8. easyedge may be the plan you have chosen. You still have access to the internet from your built-in browser, however, the easyedge catalog of applications will no longer be available after April 30th, 2015.

  9. Will I still be able to use the internet on my phone?
  10. If you have a browser on your device, you will still have access to the internet (data charges may apply if you do not have a data package).

  11. Will I still be able to text on my phone?
  12. Yes, your phone will still be able to send text messages.

  13. Who can I talk to if I have more questions?

My Contacts Backup:

  1. Will I still have access to view my contacts online?
  2. After April 30th, your contacts will no longer be saved online.
    Please log in to the My Contacts Backup website to print out or export your contacts prior to this date.

  3. Will my contacts disappear from my phone?
  4. No. Contacts that you have stored on your phone will still be available to you. The only change is the auto-backup feature will no longer be available if you were to lose your device.

Tone Room Deluxe:

  1. Will I lose my ringback tones that I purchased through Tone Room Deluxe?
  2. No, you will still have your ringback tones. In fact, even without having the Tone Room Deluxe app on your phone, you can still browse, listen and subscribe to ringback tones. This way, people who call you will still hear the song you have chosen for them.
