Cedar Rapids, Iowa (July 6, 2015) – Paint and rugs here. New electronics and furniture there. There were two classrooms at Waypoint Services that received a spring spruce up courtesy of U.S. Cellular. The renovated classrooms will be unveiled during a dedication event.

"At U.S. Cellular, we want to positively impact the communities where our associates work, live and play," said Erryn Andersen, U.S. Cellular's director of sales for Iowa and Nebraska. "We are excited to engage with our communities and assist Waypoint Services with its mission to give children access to the essential skills vital to reaching their full potential."

U.S. Cellular invested $10,000 in remodeling the classrooms, which are equipped with computers, flat screen TVs and tablets. U.S. Cellular associates from Cedar Rapids painted both classrooms and provided the wireless devices.

"Waypoint is beyond grateful of this opportunity U.S. Cellular has presented to us," Waypoint Services Chief Executive Officer Jaye Kennedy said. "The kids are anxiously waiting to use the renovated rooms. They are going to be thrilled about the new furniture, electronics and colors."
