U.S. CELLULAR PROVIDES BREWERS FANS WITH INTERACTIVE EXPERIENCES AT MILLER PARK IN 2015
MILWAUKEE (March 27, 2015) – U.S. Cellular (NYSE: USM), through its sponsorship with the Milwaukee Brewers, has announced its featured game-day offerings that will be available to all fans visiting Miller Park during the 2015 season. At each Milwaukee Brewers home game, fans can visit the U.S. Cellular Power Playground to experience interactive features such as a batting cage, pitching cage, social media wall, charging stations and giveaways.
"U.S. Cellular is proud to bring unique and interactive experiences to all fans attending Brewers games at Miller Park this season," said Laurie Poellinger, director of sales for U.S. Cellular in Wisconsin. "We strive to enhance each visit to the ballpark by connecting Brewers fans to their favorite team and providing high-speed 4G LTE service that allows them to capture and share every tailgate, seventh-inning stretch and Brewers win all season long."
In addition to the batting and pitching cages at the U.S. Cellular Power Playground, fans can visit a replica Bernie Brewer Slide and clubhouse and participate in a racing game with the Klement's Famous Racing Sausages. There is also a Race to First Base as well as many photo opportunities for all ages.
Fans will also be encouraged to tell their game story on social media by sharing their photos using #BrewersMVPic. Highlights from the hashtag will be shown on the Miller Park video screen as well the Social Media Wall in the U.S. Cellular Power Playground. Each game an "MVPic of the Day" will be chosen and winners will be entered into an end-of-season prize contest. Fans can also add Bernie Brewer, Barrelman or Hank the Dog to their game day pictures by visiting the Mascot & Me photo experience where they can add their favorite Brewers mascot to their picture.
In addition to the interactive baseball features, visitors to the Power Playground can utilize free cellphone charging stations and test out U.S. Cellular's latest device offerings, including the Apple iPhone 6 and iPad Air by playing "Hello Batter", a game in which participants can play their own game of baseball from device to device. When a player on one device pitches to a player on another device, they can swing and hit the ball. U.S. Cellular representatives will also be available to answer any questions about devices or service.
