Partnership is a big score for Cardinals fans who will continue to reap in-stadium benefits

ST. LOUIS (March 1, 2011) – U.S. Cellular and the St. Louis Cardinals today announced the three-year extension of their partnership that paves the way for a new fan area at the ballpark while keeping the family-oriented, in-stadium experiences that have been a crowd favorite for the past five years.

The highlight of the deal includes the debut of the new U.S. Cellular MVP Deck, a premium, all-inclusive seating area. The U.S. Cellular MVP Deck will be located on the northeast corner of the stadium, providing fans with one of the best views in the house. Tickets for the new space will be sold in groups and will be available for the 2011 season.

"By making this investment we're able to enhance the fan experience at the ballpark," said Michelle Groves, U.S. Cellular director of sales in the St. Louis area. "Over the years, families have made lasting memories at the U.S. Cellular Family Pavilion and kiosk, and we're proud to continue those traditions, and start a new one by offering fans one of the best views of the game at the new U.S. Cellular MVP Deck."

With this renewed partnership, U.S. Cellular is able to continue providing the U.S. Cellular Family Pavilion, a place where families can enhance their Busch Stadium visit for little or no additional cost. Inside the Pavilion, fans can practice their swing in the batting cages or brush up on their fastball in the speed pitch challenge. Gamers can play the MLB 2K10 video game on one of 11 video consoles, while young Cardinals fans can have a ball playing in the T-Ball cages or in the soft-play area. Families can also take a souvenir home with them at the Pennyman machine, which flattens an average penny into an imprint of Busch Stadium, a great way to remember the experience.

U.S. Cellular's kiosk, just steps from the Family Pavilion, offers even more fun for the family. Using motion technology similar to the Nintendo Wii, the Virtual Batter's Box offers Cardinals fans three chances to hit a home run out of the virtual U.S. Cellular ballpark and win prizes. For another souvenir, families can get their picture taken next to a life-size cutout of a St. Louis Cardinals player and have the photo printed out using a U.S. Cellular handset and Bluetooth technology. Fans can also check out the cutting-edge devices that U.S. Cellular offers and learn about The Belief Project, which was recently named Frost & Sullivan's Customer Value Enhancement of the Year. It recognizes customer loyalty with rewards like faster upgrades to the coolest phones at promotional prices every 18 months or sooner without requiring customers to repeatedly sign contracts.

Fans can text their family members after a big home run, show off their great seats with a picture message and keep track of scores and fantasy updates from other games on U.S. Cellular's high-speed nationwide network. U.S. Cellular has the highest call quality and network satisfaction of any carrier and recently completed an upgrade to its cell phone tower at Busch Stadium to ensure that every call, message and e-mail goes through, especially when it's to share the joy of a win.
