Positions Range from Retail Wireless Consultants to Sales Managersy

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (September 15, 2010) – U.S. Cellular is actively searching for talented associates in West Virginia. The wireless company is looking to fill more than 30 open positions throughout the region within the next three months.

U.S. Cellular is currently seeking customer-focused sales professionals to fill retail wireless consultant, sales manager and cashier/greeter positions in the Clarksburg, Elkins, Fairmont, Granville, Beckley, Fayetteville, Lewisburg, Princeton and Summersville retails stores. In addition, the company has positions available for service technicians based throughout the state and in the Mid-Atlantic region.

"The increase in demand for smartphones, like our Android-powered devices, has created a need for associates who are focused on customer satisfaction and familiar with the latest technology," said Dee Taylor, director of sales for U.S. Cellular in the Mid-Atlantic region. "There are more than 80,000 free applications available to use on the Android devices," adds Taylor. "We're searching for associates who can embrace this exciting new technology and help our customers select the best phones and features that fit their busy lifestyles."

Retail Wireless Consultants take care of existing and new customers by listening and addressing their needs, introducing them to exceptional products and services, and delivering a level of customer engagement unlike any they've experienced. A high school diploma is required and at least a solid year in retail sales is preferred.

Using supervisory and coaching skills, Sales Managers motivate associates to excel by providing guidance, training and inspirational leadership. A high school diploma is required, but an Associate or Bachelor's degree is preferred. One year of retail sales and customer service experience is also required.
