U.S. CELLULAR APPOINTS JOE CABRERA TO DIRECTOR OF SALES FOR WASHINGTON/OREGON

YAKIMA, Wash. - November 17, 2010 – Joe Cabrera has been promoted to director of sales for the communities U.S. Cellular serves in Washington and Oregon. Cabrera, who leads all sales activities for U.S. Cellular in those areas, has been with the company for seven years.

In his new role, Cabrera ensures that his teams of associates are successfully educating customers and potential customers about The Belief Project, an array of innovative initiatives like "no contract after the first" with automatic upgrades to the newest phones at promotional prices every 18 months. Just for being a customer, U.S. Cellular gives valuable rewards to use for phone upgrades in as little as 10 months depending on the customer's plan, additional lines, phones, accessories, and ringtones. These initiatives were created to elevate the customer experience.

Prior to his current role, Cabrera was an area sales manager in Oklahoma City, and he held the same position in Tulsa, Okla., and Joplin, Mo. He has also served as Tulsa's regional manager of financial planning and analysis. Cabrera is a graduate of Texas A & M University.
