CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa, March 19, 2009 – U.S. Cellular has named Matt Sampson director of its Customer Care Center in Cedar Rapids. Sampson's responsibilities include managing the day-to-day operation of the center, which employs approximately 350 associates.

"At U.S. Cellular, we are committed to providing the best customer service in the industry," said Lynn Costlow, U.S. Cellular's vice president of customer service. "Matt has been a strong leader in our Customer Care Centers and is passionate about leading our customer service associates."

Sampson, who has been with U.S. Cellular for 10 years, has been in many leadership roles, including director of the Knoxville, Tenn., Customer Care Center. Prior to that, Sampson worked on U.S. Cellular's financial services, customer relations, technology and business-to-business teams.

Sampson, a Cedar Rapids native, replaces Bill Isaac, who has transitioned to the director of U.S. Cellular's Customer Care Center in Waukesha, Wis.
