3G CDMA NETWORK FAQS
As the global wireless ecosystem prepares for the 3G CDMA network retirement, the industry is phasing out support for 3G CDMA. Consumer devices that use this older technology have no access to voice and data when roaming, including the inability to call 911. 3G devices have no data or very slow (dial-up speed) data when in a UScellular service area. Additionally, UScellular has begun to shut down select 3G towers across our service area. Act now to upgrade to a 4G or 5G device to ensure you remain connected.
