Device Insurance
Don't waste hundreds of dollars to replace/repair your lost, stolen or damaged phone. Make sure you're enrolled in Device Insurance, an insurance plan administered by The Signal
® and underwritten American Security Insurance Company, an Assurant Solutions Company.
For $5.95 a month, your U.S. Cellular phone, battery and standard charger are covered in case of theft, loss or accidental damage. Device Insurance also covers mechanical or electrical breakdown as well as defects that were covered by the original manufacturer's warranty once it expires.
For an additional $5.95 a month, you can extend the same coverage to your wireless modem.
A free call gets you enrolled
To enroll in, request insurance at the time of purchase or dial 611 from your U.S. Cellular phone (a free call) and ask the U.S. Cellular representative how you can enroll in the Device Insurance program. A U.S. Cellular representative will place a call to your phone to validate your service. Your coverage begins when you answer this call.
Your monthly premium will appear on your U.S. Cellular phone bill. You won't have extra invoices or checks to write. For devices that require a Smartphone Data Plan or Premium Mobile Internet plan, the non-refundable deductible is $100 for all approved claims. All other models and wireless modems are subject to a $50 non-refundable deductible for all approved claims. A $17 charge is added to the deductible if payment is collected C.O.D.
