Calling All Communities
After tallying more than 430,000 votes, we’ve revealed our
2010 Calling All Communities Champions:
- Seymour High School - Seymour, TN
- St. Liborius School - Crete Campus - Crete, IL
- Central Lutheran School - Newhall, IA
- Robert Lince Elementary School - Selah, WA
- Kalmiopsis Elementary School - Brookings, OR
- Wayne Country Day School - Goldsboro, NC
- B.F. Grady Elementary School - Albertson, NC
- St. Francis Xavier School - Taos, MO
- A.H. Roberts Elementary School - Livingston, TN
- Louis Nettelhorst Elementary School - Chicago, IL
We were overwhelmed by the creativity shown by the 6,800 schools that participated. Some made YouTube videos, wrote songs, designed t-shirts and set up voting stations in libraries and businesses around their towns. This was a campaign powered by the communities that wanted to make a difference for our children’s education.
We’re continuing our commitment to helping schools with the return of our
Calling All Teachers campaign this fall. We’ll be funding $1 million worth of classroom projects in public schools across the country that teachers submit through
DonorsChoose.org. Stay tuned to find out more about how your teachers could cross some items off their classroom wish lists with U.S. Cellular’s help.
