With Device Protection+, you won't have to worry about a costly replacement if the unexpected happens. Your wireless device is covered if it malfunctions due to mechanical or electrical breakdown*, or if it is accidentally damaged, lost or stolen. Enroll in Device Protection+, a Plan administered and provided by the Assurant Solutions companies, today!



What's Covered?

Device Protection+ covers accessories provided as part of your original device purchase, when required, in the event of:
  • Mechanical or electrical breakdown*
  • Accidental damage - including liquid damage
  • Loss
  • Theft
In addition, you will have free next business day delivery for replacement devices on approved claims, when available.

The monthly charge of $6.99 or $8.99 per device covers the Service Contract components (mechanical or electrical breakdown* and accidental damage, including liquid damage). For your convenience, this cost will be separately itemized on your monthly U.S. Cellular bill. You will also be the certificate holder on U.S. Cellular's Insurance Policy for Loss and Theft coverage benefits. U.S. Cellular pays for these benefits on your behalf. Applicable taxes may apply.

Data protection features provide added security for Smartphone and tablet users.

Enrolled Smartphone and tablet users have access to the following data protection features**:

  • Locate, Lock and Wipe
  • Anti-Malware

*Mechanical and electrical breakdown coverage begins after the manufacturer's warranty expires. For Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) devices, the coverage begins upon enrollment.
**Data protection features are provided by a third party, must be downloaded and their availability may vary by operating system.

A free call gets you enrolled

Current Customers - To enroll, please call customer service by dialing 611 from your U.S. Cellular phone (always a free call) or our toll-free number, 1-888-944-9400. A U.S. Cellular representative will place a call to your phone to validate your service and your coverage will begin when you answer this call. For other devices, please visit a U.S. Cellular store.

New Customers - Request to add Device Protection+ to your account at the time of purchase if buying in one of our store locations or by phone at 1-888-BUY-USCC. If buying a new device on-line, make sure to add Device Protection+ to your order after selecting a plan and device.

 

Easy Payments

You won't have extra invoices or checks to write. Your monthly charge will appear as an individual line item on your monthly U.S. Cellular bill. If you have Simple Connect Prepaid service, EZ-fill will need to be set up as your refill method to have Device Protection+.
