We believe that everyone could use help monitoring their wireless usage to avoid overage charges

Overage Protection from U.S. Cellular® makes it easy to keep track of your wireless costs. U.S. Cellular will automatically notify you with a Text Message alert when your voice minutes, messages, or data approach and exceed your plan limits and you will start to incur overage charges.

And best of all, it's FREE.

Receive a text message when your usage hits 75% and 100% of your monthly limit.

International Roaming Notification

U.S. Cellular will automatically send a free text message notification to you when your device registers on an international or cruise ship roaming network. The notification lets you know that you're in an international or cruise ship area where you can still use your U.S. Cellular service, but at the additional appropriate international/cruise ship roaming rate.

Overage Protection: Not available on Prepaid Plans. Usage tracking is based on included anytime minutes, included Text, Picture and Video messages, and data. Usage calculations are conducted nightly upon the close of billing and not sent real time. Service does not guarantee that overages won't be incurred.
