Overage Protection from U.S. Cellular® makes it easy to keep track of your wireless costs. Signing up for Overage Protection will enable U.S. Cellular to send you a Text Message alert when either your voice minutes or Text Messages are near or at the point where you will start to incur overage charges.
And best of all, it's FREE.

Signing up is easy. If you're a current U.S. Cellular customer, visit one of our retail locations, call our Customer Service group (1-888-944-9400) or sign up online through My Account.
New customers can include Overage Protection at no extra cost when purchasing service online. When selecting a Single Line or Family Belief Plan without unlimited minutes and messaging, make sure to add the Overage Protection feature.
Overage Protection: Not available on Prepaid Plans. Usage tracking is based on included anytime minutes and included Text Messages, and does not include data usage or Picture Messages. Usage calculations are conducted nightly upon the close of billing and not sent real time. Service does not guarantee that overages won't be incurred.
