Introduction & Overview

Bill to Cell for Virtual Goods allows the purchase of virtual content via PC, mobile phone and other smart devices. FAQs

  1. What online communities and games have this feature for U.S. Cellular Customers?
For a list of available online merchants, please visit our Premium Messaging Content Program List.

  2. How areVirtual Goods charged?
Once you select the option on the billing screen to pay by mobile, you will be asked for confirmation of the purchase via text or a confirmation screen through Android applications. These are one-time transactions as subscriptions for virtual goods are unavailable at this time. Virtual goods charges can be found on your monthly U.S. Cellular bill under "Other Charges & Credits".

  3. How am I notified of the charge to my account?
You will receive a text message on your phone verifying the charge amount for the program along with a confirmation code. You will need to enter that confirmation code in order to authorize the charge. For some in-app billing for Android, you may receive two message boxes confirming the transaction instead of a confirmation short code via text message.

  4. Do the text message codes expire?
Yes, for security purposes, the text message confirmation code will expire anywhere from 3 to 5 minutes after they are sent to you. If the code has expired, you must re-enter your phone number on the payment screen and wait for another text message. Payment charges will only appear on your bill if you confirm the purchase by entering the code.

  5. Will I be charged for text messages?
Standard message rates will apply when you send an outbound text message for Virtual Goods content. If you have a text messaging package, the short code message will be billed against the package. If you do not have a package, the Pay-As-You-Go rate applies.
