WASHINGTON AREA RESIDENT TO THROW OUT THE FIRST PITCH AT THE ST. LOUIS CARDINALS GAME AUGUST 25TH
ST. LOUIS, MO., August 20, 2009 – U.S. Cellular today announced that Elaine Waiksnis of Washington, Mo., is the winner of its St. Louis Cardinals Prize Package which includes the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to throw out the first pitch at a Cardinals game. Waiksnis, who was one of 648 Washington Town and County fairgoers that registered for a chance to win this prize package, has delegated the first pitch duties to her son-in-law, Mike Luking of Washington, Mo. to officially commence the game on Tuesday, August 25th, when the Cardinals take on the Houston Astros at 7:15 p.m. at Busch Stadium.
