U.S. CELLULAR TO PROMOTE EDWARD C. PEREZ TO VICE PRESIDENT–MARKETING AND SALES OPERATIONS
CHICAGO, Nov. 17, 2009 – United States Cellular Corporation (NYSE: USM) today announced that it plans to appoint Edward C. Perez to vice president–marketing and sales operations, effective Jan. 1, 2010. Perez is currently senior director of U.S. Cellular's business support system/operations support system track in the company's strategic operational program.

Perez began at U.S. Cellular 13 years ago in the sales operations team. He has been the company's senior director of sales and marketing in the West and Central regions and senior director of the product group in marketing. Perez was still in that marketing role when he was tapped to be the interim senior director of brand management when U.S. Cellular launched its new brand identity in 2008.
When U.S. Cellular ran its annual United Way giving campaign, Perez led fundraising efforts for the company's teams in the Central region and its Regional Support Office.
Perez has a B.S. in marketing from Missouri State University. He lives in Glen Ellyn, Ill., with his wife Joelle and their three children.
