LTE is an acronym for "Long Term Evolution" and represents advancement in wireless technology in order to significantly increase both the speed and capacity of mobile networks.

What 4G LTE devices are available?

Our network is growing to bring you faster speeds, and so is our portfolio of devices. Preview our first 4G LTE tablet (available March 2012) and our first 4G LTE Smartphone (available April 2012).

When and where will 4G LTE be available?

We're hard at work on the 4G LTE network. The rollout of 4G LTE builds on the high quality nationwide 3G data services that you already enjoy.

The 4G LTE network will launch in select cities in Wisconsin, Maine, Iowa, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Texas in March 2012. Additional cities in Illinois, Maryland, Missouri, New Hampshire, Oregon, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and West Virginia will also have access to 4G LTE by the second half of 2012.

Will I need a new device to access the 4G LTE network?
Yes, 4G LTE devices are needed to experience the new network. These devices will also be able to access the 1x and 3G networks. Current 3G phones will continue to have access to our award-winning 3G network.

What devices will be launched with 4G LTE?
We are currently working with manufacturers to deliver the best 4G LTE capable devices. Soon, we'll introduce a portfolio of high end devices so you can take advantage of our 4G LTE speeds. If you don't have access to the 4G LTE network yet, you will still be able to purchase a 4G LTE enabled device.
