EXPLORE 4G LTE
What is 4G LTE?
Accelerate your wireless experience with 4G LTE — the next generation of cellular technology to bring you access to data faster than ever before.
LTE is an acronym for "Long Term Evolution" and represents advancement in wireless technology in order to significantly increase both the speed and capacity of mobile networks.
With a 4G LTE capable device, you can access the 4G LTE network to send and receive pictures, download music, watch videos and browse the Internet at speeds up to 10 times faster than 3G.
What 4G LTE devices are available now?
Our network is growing to bring you faster speeds, and so is our portfolio of devices. We are currently working with manufacturers to deliver the best 4G LTE capable devices, and we're pleased to introduce our first 4G LTE tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab™ 10.1, and our first 4G LTE Smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S® Aviator™.
The Samsung 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot will join our 4G LTE device line-up in late spring, along with a 4G LTE modem and additional 4G LTE Smartphones later this year.
Where is 4G LTE available?
We're hard at work on the 4G LTE network. The rollout of 4G LTE builds on the high quality nationwide 3G data services that you already enjoy.
The 4G LTE network is now available in select cities in Wisconsin, Maine, Iowa, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Texas. Additional cities in Illinois, Maryland, Missouri, New Hampshire, Oregon, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and West Virginia will also have access to 4G LTE by the second half of 2012.
